Despite having a cold and cough, I decided that it was best to make use of the glorious sunshine and venture out, even though it was for only half an hour. The air was cold but not damp and my lungs seem to be the better for the brief ride. Only downside is that I managed to get a puncture on the way back but luckily I managed to get back without having to change the inner tube - I must say that I was a bit worried about ruining the rim of the wheel, but I think I got away with it!
I have decided on two targets - I want to be able to ride 60 miles in 4 hours and I also want to be able to do 50 miles on a Saturday and 60 miles on a Sunday. If I can do that, I should have no problems on the ride.
According to the training schedule, I think the next training session on the bike might be on Thursday. I've got skiing at the local indoor ski centre to look forward to first though...
